Flare Short Story Contest

The first year the contest was open to young (under 26 years of age) women for unpublished short stories. In following years, it was offered to young women and men. The contest was continued by the Flare Short Story Contest (which see) when the magazine changed its name. There was a cash prize and the winning story was published in Miss Chatelaine.
