Doubleday Canadian Prize Novel Award1961-1967
The publishers, Doubleday Canada Limited, and Doubleday and Company Inc., of New York, jointly established this award for English-language novels. Although the subject matter had to be Canadian, there was no restriction on the author's nationality. There was a cash prize in the form of an outright gift and an advance on royalties.
